  • Audit, assurance, or statutory compliance services

3. Accuracy of Data and Reports

  • KhataWise does not independently verify the accuracy, legality, or completeness of data entered by users
  • We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or discrepancies resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated data entry
  • Financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, etc.) are generated based solely on user-entered data and may not reflect a complete picture of your financial position
  • Tax calculations (GST, TDS, etc.) are automated based on the tax rates and rules configured in the system, which may not account for all exemptions, special provisions, or recent amendments applicable to your specific situation

4. GST and Tax Compliance

KhataWise provides tools to assist with GST compliance including invoice generation, GSTR-1 data preparation, GSTR-2B reconciliation, and HSN/SAC code management. However:

  • The ultimate responsibility for GST compliance, timely filing, and accurate tax payment rests solely with you
  • Always review and verify all GST calculations, reports, and return data before filing with the GST portal
  • Indian tax laws (GST Act, Income Tax Act, TDS provisions) are subject to frequent changes through notifications, circulars, and amendments. We make reasonable efforts to keep the software updated, but we cannot guarantee that all changes are reflected immediately

  • KhataWise does not directly file returns with any government portal on your behalf unless explicitly stated as a feature
